§ 4-4. Rules and regulations.

  • The local commissioner shall have the power to make, promulgate, alter, amend, repeal and enforce such reasonable rules and regulations relating to the administration and enforcement of the provisions of this chapter as may be deemed by such local commissioner to be in the best interest of the village. The local commissioner shall forward any such newly proposed rules and regulations to the village and each licensee at least 14 days prior to the effective date of any such rule or regulation. Upon the written request of two or more trustees prior to such effective date, any such newly proposed rule and regulation shall be subject to review by the village board. After such a written request, any such newly proposed rule and regulation shall not be effective until considered by the village board. Any such newly proposed rule and regulation shall go into effect after such review by the village board unless disapproved by a vote of at least four members of the village board.
