§ 24-4. Conflicts.

  • In the event there is a conflict between any of the provisions of this chapter and the provisions of:

    (1)

    Any individual employment agreement then in effect;

    (2)

    Any collective bargaining agreement then in effect with respect to any bargaining unit employee covered by such agreement;

    (3)

    Division 2.1 of article 10 (65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-1 et seq.) of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/1-1-1 et seq.), as amended, with respect to any police employee under the jurisdiction of the board of fire and police commissioners, including as such provisions may be revised, amended or supplemented by the corporate authorities, and any rules and regulations of the board of fire and police commissioners lawfully promulgated thereunder;

    (4)

    Chapter 18, article II of this Code with respect to the fire chief and any fire employee;

    (5)

    Any applicable federal law; or

    (6)

    Any applicable state law to the extent deemed exclusive of or preempted from the exercise of the home-rule powers and authority of the village;

    the applicable provisions described in subsections (1) through (6) of this section, inclusive, shall apply.
