§ 10-266. Adoption by reference.

  • A certain document, at least one copy of which is and has remained on file for a period of not less than 30 days prior to the adoption of the ordinance from which this article is derived and shall be kept available for public use in the office of the village clerk, being marked and designated as the International Fire Code, 2006 edition, including appendixes C and D, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the Fire Code (the "Fire Code") of the village, for regulating and governing the safeguarding of life and property from fire and explosion hazards arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the occupancy of buildings and premises as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees thereof; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, conditions and terms of the Fire Code are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof as if fully set out in this article, with such additions, insertions, deletions and changes, if any, prescribed in section 10-267.
